How Many Pages Do I Need?

As many as you need to reach your goals! If you just want a business card/brochureware site where folks can contact you or ask questions, a simple starter site may do — back in the 1990s!
But one has to be realistic and realize that a starter site is just that — a start. Any starter site, where the site owner would like to experience ROI, has to be created with plans to grow the site as needed and as market conditions dictate.
This now includes having a Blog and utilizing the easiest tool out there to do this — WordPress!
When it comes to search engine rankings, the more pages the better. And no, that does not mean babbly useless keyword stuffed verbiage in existence solely to increase the number of pages in your site to manipulate rankings. Unique and valuable information worth linking to is what works best!
When you have useful individual pages targeting just one topic or issue, you kill two birds with one stone. WordPress helps you easily do just this — without having to know code!
You create a concentrated topical page on that issue or topic for search crawlers to index and you give your site visitors information on the one topic they may be seeking.
Having mile long pages simply to avoid per page costs by cramming all your information into one “page” that scrolls endlessly is poor design from a usability POV. That concern is also eliminated with WordPress because you can add as many pages as you like — all by yourself.
Overly long pages also hamper good rankings because the page is about too much to be solidly about any one (or two) things to rank relevantly.
Look at your site as an archive, library or gallery of everything that has to do with your product and service that you will grow perpetually. Web sites should be looked at as a work in progress that is never completed. There will always be something to add, change or integrate!
Getting found, instilling confidence and encouraging inquires is what you want to accomplish, right? Not hesitating to add pages will help you accomplish just that. Ready to get your own WordPress site?
Passion & Knowledge Makes Money Online

I get asked all the time for my ideas or suggestions on how to make money online. For over a decade I’ve responded to that question with a question. What are you passionate and knowledgeable about?
There are those marketers online that want to lead you to believe that all you need is a “solution” or their “system” to get rich quick and quit your day job. No knowledge necessary; the heck with being passionate about what you have to offer. Passion and knowledge are not necessary.
But what is that secret ingredient that keeps any entrepreneur or netrepeneur going when the going gets tough? What do new business owners use to get them through the roller coaster of ups and downs that any business new or old will experience? Passion and knowledge!
The passion you have for your product or service will be evident to customers. Your knowledge about the topic at hand will give them confidence to do business with you. Don’t let anyone tell you that passion and knowledge are not necessary. Don’t believe me? Ask any successful business person!
How can you make money online? Determine a way to offer a product or service that has to do with what you know best and are passionate about and you’ve just increased your success potential exponentially!

You mean business if you:
- Have well-written content that is grammatically correct and spelled properly. Your Web site is chock full of information that talks to your customer’s desires and needs.
- Have excellent photos and graphics that will represent the quality of your products and services — no clip art for you!
- You understand your profit margins and what you can sell your wares for to make money while remaining competitive.
- You have a marketing plan and budget to ensure you get the network visibility necessary to get found and produce orders/inquiries.
- You make sure your Web site’s design and layout is conducive to your company being perceived as a credible, legitimate and professional enterprise.
These are just a few of the details that I see are minimized or disregarded on a daily basis. Do you really mean business?
