I’ve been thinking about the Holidays for a while already. I don’t particularly like it, but I have to plan my Holiday marketing strategies and get them in place now in order to be prepared for the online holiday rush. I started reminding clients 2 months ago to get in gear and get organized for this busy time of year.
From “Holidzing” your site to setting “last day in time for Christmas” shipping dates to specials, discounts and inventory, as of this date, you need to be ready to integrate and implement. And part of this preparation should include your e-mail marketing schedules and campaigns.
Four Retail Email Holiday Tips covers the following tips in detail:
- Don’t wait until Black Friday to start your holiday email campaigns.
- Be careful of dramatic frequency increases.
- Don’t ignore Cyber Monday.
- In the days after Christmas, go after your gift card dollars.
Check the article out — it’s got a bunch of good info so you can plan accordingly and take advantage of technology at this important retail time of the year. Then go over to my email provider of choice Vertical Response and get your program in place and ready to go!
